Dr. Emily Kanaan grew up in Baltimore, MD, and earned her undergraduate degree from Duke University before completing her medical degree at Columbia University. After finishing her internship and residency at Children’s Hospital Boston in 2003, she worked as a hospitalist there for two years. In 2005, she moved to San Francisco with her husband, where she served as a hospitalist and urgent care physician at UCSF Medical Center.
In 2008, Dr. Kanaan relocated to Atlanta. After spending a few years at home with her children, she cofounded Oakhurst Pediatrics in 2011. Dr. Kanaan currently resides in Druid Hills with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, and curling up with a good book.
